Who we are

This website (cs-brickwork.co.uk) is operated by CS Brickwork, a York-based building and brickwork contractor. You can contact us by phone on 07733 212622 or by email at csbrickworkyork@gmail.com.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently use any analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies. No visitor behaviour is measured or recorded. If analytics is added in future (for example, a privacy-respecting tool to understand how many people visit the site), this policy will be updated first, and where the law requires it, a cookie banner will ask for your consent before anything is set.

The only cookie this site can set is an authentication cookie for the site owner when they log in to edit the site's content (see "Content management" below). This does not apply to ordinary visitors browsing the site.

What data we collect

This site has no contact form, newsletter sign-up, or online booking system. The phone number and email links throughout the site open your own phone dialler or email client; nothing you type is submitted to or stored by this website. If you call or email us directly, we hold that correspondence (your name, contact details, and whatever you tell us) only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and keep a reasonable business record, and we will not use it for anything else without asking you first.

Content management

The site owner updates page content (such as customer reviews and contact details) through a password-protected admin area, using Netlify Identity for login and Decap CMS as the editing tool. This creates an authentication session only for the logged-in site owner; it has no effect on, and collects no data from, ordinary visitors to the public site.

Reviews shown on this site

Customer reviews displayed here are selected by the site owner from publicly posted Google and Facebook reviews, with the reviewer's name and review text as they appear publicly on those platforms. If you'd like a review removed or amended, contact us using the details above.

Third parties who can see your data

This site is hosted on Netlify, which serves the site's files and provides the login system used solely by the site owner. No other third-party service receives visitor data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it's used, and receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email csbrickworkyork@gmail.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.

Changes to this policy

As the site grows, adding new forms, tools, or integrations, this policy will be updated to match, before those changes go live. Check back here for the current version.
